FISH

 

Genesis 1:20-23 - Then God said, "Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens." So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth." So the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

 

Psalm 104:24-27 - LORD, how manifold are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all. The earth is full of Your possessions—This great and wide sea, In which are innumerable teeming things, Living things both small and great. There the ships sail about; There is that Leviathan Which You have made to play there. These all wait for You, That You may give them their food in due season.

 

An the Metro Toronto Zoo there is an aquarium that stands about six feet tall, twenty feet wide and three feet deep and it is an absolutely amazing display of the creatures of the sea. I often just sit on the benches opposite and gaze in wonder at the diversity of beauty that God has created. I am even more amazed at the knowledge that we have not begun to appreciate the riches of the seas. There is an immensity to God's creativity that staggers the imagination.
