September 1985

a fall of leaves

under autumn's hand

red against the blue

simple proud

full of life

background for the songs

so

awesomely sung at night

upwards embers

light their way

to the courts of God

hidden in the stars

friendship ring

draws us near

a stranger is a hero

a friend

is still yet more

crackling logs

late at night

stir the fires

we sing yet more

and more

and even more

could God grow tired

if we do not

we could go on

forever

and still have not begun

a fall of leaves

and we'll find out

until then

we sing

unceasing

Praise to God!
