Afterwards

(on the passing of Doris Snobelen)

tears will not fall for this grief

though it be a grievous loss

tears have not fallen

not have the corners of my smile

God is great, His mercy enduring

suffering has been turned to peace

tears have been turned to joy

the God of all comfort

He is my hope

this loss, this far too great a loss

will not, it can not, destroy

God is great, God is good

I will rest in Him and rejoice
