it seems to not be as bad for me

so many more seem to be hit worse

by this all-pervasive, ever-present dark

somehow

no matter how long this dark accuses

that I’m worthless or of no account

deep-down, beyond this anguish

I know this

one

incontrovertible

truth

God’s Son came to find me

and He found me

and He saved me

even then

when I was as I was

but am no more

even now

when I’m not as I will

but as I am
