I've heard it said You were

a credit to Your race

in flowing words and pretty tune

respectful of the things You've done

except one

if we deny Your deity

are You really You

could You even be good?

You spoke, and acted,

as though You were truly God

and followed Your words to the cross

You've got to be more than a man

(yet a man indeed

if I am to hope)

Your words proclaim it

Your deeds acclaiming

You are either God

or I am dead
