Gear

I wonder

if on their off hours

my watch faces get together

at their counterpart of a water cooler

and talk amongst themselves

“I’m his favourite”

“His mom gave him me”

“He has me the longest”

and if

down at the bottom

one waits, unused

and the more proud for it
