Hope

here, in this now but not yet,

it is difficultly easy to hope

holding on to what well be given

knowing the promised tomorrow

however distant, is ours today

our hands, unjustly uncertain,

tremble at their responsibility

careful not to drop, dent or ding

this most precious of any gift

we have it now, it is in our hands

His promise yet to be received

we who have walked in darkness

we have seen His great light

we are no longer without hope

our captivity is at an end

His dawn has risen upon us

He has cast aside our hopeless dark

He makes us free, even as

we walk among our broken chains

After my friend Nicole gave her

testimony during morning worship.

I have a new hero on my list.
