it’s not your fault

my fall

my fail

both my fault

my abandoning His call

mine alone to own

no one’s fault

but mine

and yet

had you not done

what you had done

sin could not have knocked

my door could not have opened

and I would not have welcomed

temptation into my home

so I ask you to be careful

I may have fanned the flame

but you provided its spark
