Prowler

darkness prowls in silent stealth

soft-steps around the stronghold

panther like

it slinks in the unseen shadows

it lurks in the unguarded moment

it pounces at the unkept defense

its clenching jaws, its iron teeth

would grab and tear and maul

could the dark but find a hole

allow its foul disease destroy

Prowler
