Turmoil

confusion roils

vast undercurrents

tumultuous in their course

my mind quails

cannot find ground

less uncertain

yet is storm tossed

by words unconsidered

of one respected spoken

who says such things

which must be true

yet cannot be true

all I know stands unchanged

but finds its purer course

as speaking before me, one

upends what should be
