Antagonist

you and I

we've had our fights

some of them

            mine

some of them

            yours

most

for no reason at all

other than simply

we had nothing worse to do

some for ideals

we have long since

laughed at

and still we argue

and rant

and rave

it's about time

that one of us gave

a helping hand

to the other

to put it all

behind closed doors

I'm reaching

but I can't quite make it

please!  don't pull back
