Daybreak

 

Glistening in the light

I saw beneath my eyes

A single shining dew-drop

Resting on a blade of grass

A universe on a leaf

I saw the stars

In this gem below

Reflecting on its facets

A pure and crystal glow

That grew as the sun rose

The stars fading one by one

As the crystal orb

Set the jewel aflame

 

Upon seeing reflections of light

in an early morning dewdrop.
