You…

you laugh my words to scorn

“Doggerel” you say, and worse

and yet your anger proves

my words may have more

than arrogance

or lack of skill

one does not cuss a child

for unskillful phrases

or ridicule them

for misplaced pride

but correct them

help them learn

you

have responded

but do not correct me

and by your anger

prove the truth

only God can help you see
