A Night Like Any Other

it was

a night like any other

silent, deep and dark

stars glorious on a velvet black

it was

a night like any other

except tonight

a baby lay

angels sang

shepherds ran

stars proclaimed

wise men searched

it was

a night like any other

except tonight

The Saviour came

shone His light upon us

the people living in darkness

It always surprises me where inspiration starts.
