there’s all kinds of advice out there

what to do

do this …

do that …

do the other thing …

what not to do

don’t do this …

don’t do that …

don’t do the other thing …

each bears their promise

but I’ve been there

I’ve done and not done

this

that

the other thing

were all this advice at all real

and not so utterly dependant

on the cooperation of others

my life would be ROCKING!

but it’s not

my life is more like the gravel

trodden underfoot

as other’s lives carry on
