Bindweed Parable

This morning

Looking out the window

I saw

Growing on the lawn

Sprinkled like confetti

Some

Fine smelling

Sun tracking

Flowers

Tossed and turned

And stepped on

But true

Never shirking duty

Until picked

Why cannot I

Do the same
