Canaan

“Choose this day whom you will serve…

as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”

more in common with Joshua have I

than with the Apostle Paul

this is not a new field I plough

to teach truth to those unheard

this is a field of old I inhabit

to show truth to those uncared

more in common with Isaiah have I

than with Simon Peter

I do not fashion introductions

of fallen man to perfect God

so much as I re-acquaint

a rebel to his risen Lord
