Flotsam

a truckers cap

discarded

laying forgotten

beyond the char

on a shattered abutment

isolated from other

minor wreckage

what journey ended here

where is now the head

once sporting this

forgotten bit of life

we know not

nor can ever tell

but drive on

scarce slowing

eager for our own journey

to end

in calmer fashion

Flotsam
