it was announced on television yesterday

a respite from all the COVID-19 reports

that Mayor Tory raised the rainbow flag

inaugurating Pride Month in Toronto

I’m here, off to one side, shaking my head

Jesus gets a day, maybe three, or maybe less

this entire country celebrates its single day

yet TO Pride gets an entire month? why?
