Grandma Rosy and Me

each time I watch the end of Balto

and I hear Grandma Rosy say

“Thank you Balto,

I would’ve been lost without you.”

(and she could have named Togo)

I cry

for such an open gratitude

for I myself owe such a gratitude

for I myself have often said

“Thank you God,

I’d be lost without You.”

(and I could name no other)
