My Hero

in the stories the hero always saves the day

riding victoriously off into the glorious sunset

amid the adorations of the cheering throng

I’m not in a story so that hope is misplaced

but I do have a Hero and my hope is in Him

He has surely saved my day, because of Him

my story will have a happy ending after all
