Humans

human beings are odd

these odd creatures, they

seem to have no sense at all

they give crass euphemisms to

the most exquisite of God’s gifts

then use these same words as curse

how odd these human beings are

to layer filth against such glory

as if glory were no treasure

were not worth the effort

to keep pure and holy
