I don’t know how

to tell you

I’m dying

it’s not like I

can grab you

and scream

“I’M DYING!”

at you

it wouldn’t be polite and

I don’t think that would work

too well

if you can’t see it

would hearing me say it

tell you I need help?

it would be so simple

just a touch

or gentle word

or a smile even

just

some little thing

to let me know you care

that inside me

I am dead
