Looking for Beauty

we travel far and near

we run here and there

we hurry to and fro

seeking the elusive beauty

we think lies

around every corner

or stands

on the fence’s other side

or waits

behind the next open door

yet is always

far from home

we search but fail to see

that where we are

beauty is
