I used to think it wasn’t me

that it was them

it’s hard to blame yourself

for things you see others do

so I’d sit back and think “OK

it’s not me, it’s them”

as it turns out it’d be everyone

all of them I’d have to blame

for me and my failings, and now

I know it isn’t them, it’s me

I’m the problem

I’m the reason the lunchroom

goes silent

I’m the reason the commute

has no words

it’s me

I know that now

and now,

what?
