my feelings come out, some times

when the opportunity comes up

but in such a way, a lifted eyebrow

a teasing tone of voice, a smile

you would hear the truth I say

yet not hear your pain beneath it

that pain, which of your making

becomes worse by your ignoring

so when it comes up, some times

my feelings come incompletely out
