'They' say one big explosion started it off

everything we see around us

or touch, or even think


'They' also say we're not its center

wherever such a thing may be

we are not where it's at


But if we're off to one side, more or less

shouldn't this red shift be seen unequally all around us

here be less than red, in places amber and in other places blue


Unless we're truly center of some stretching

as my early brethren said was true
