Pettiness

who knows how many dead in Ukraine

or injured, or fleeing, it's hard to say

how many lives have been uprooted

changed from what they were before

(this is a tough transition to get right)

my towel is yellow and blue and white

I see it, use it, several times every day

and every time it reminds me of Myira

it's petty yet I struggle for proper tears
