I made a NASA joke at my dog’s expense

tonight

he was wanting/not-wanting to come in

sniffing at the edges of the lawn

exploring where it met the walk

beside his step up into warmth

one last adventure before bed

Impatient, I called to him

“Enough with the curiosity, Rover!”

and laughed
