January 1984
staring into a mirror at what’s staring back as at a stranger ‘s the way i seem to be
never knowing just who to be i hide behind facades that quickly crumble down like an old brick house against the wrecker’s ball
have patience for eventually i’ll see the face in the glass that’s not unknown by anyone but me who has just avoided it in search of fragile dreams
