The Calling

it calls, and inside this body, I respond

supposed primal urges leap at the chance

too short a time subdued to The Calling

this body burns, it yearns, it longs

that its awakened desire be satisfied

this silenced, throttled mind recoils

despairing the tug of flesh on soul
