they are born alone

which is a miracle

       (being alone)

and for a time

they live alone

while they grow

larger and wiser

which is too, a miracle

       (the growing)

yet being alone

after a time

eventually ends

       (most times)

in a thing much better

because God made it so

and proclaimed it good

that love should exist

between them

together

because God made it so

a man will leave his parents

and a woman hers

and the two

shall become one

which again is a miracle

       (being two, yet one)
