They Sing

I will read of these

of Robert and Emily and Rudy and Alison

as most often as I can

Others, unnamed, less most often

These shine light in my soul

like King David, and Asaph

and the Sons of Korah

of Jerusalem

It is too dark down there

those others cannot but

draw shade before the windows

block what light may be

But these

like these ancients

these can make me sing!
