I saw a sunbeam

golden

shoot into the room

and thought of you

one of the many special people

who brighten up my life

in ways I can ne’er repay

As a gift from God

I count you

treasured beyond all price

each day anew

I thank you Lord

for giving me

a friend as good as you

And now

I take this time

to thank you

for what you are to me

and I pray

that God will let us live

as friends
