April 29, 1998
today I am ashamed to be Canadian refusing conscience men and women leave their closed rooms heads bowed and silent avoiding the eyes of those they failed refusing to help those neglect has harmed
only one man had the courage to speak later several miles away to defend his choice and end debate
would to God I had the voice to call the attention of those in power to those in need we surely owe them something for their deaths through carelessness
CBC-2 this morning carried the story of the defeat of the motion to extend compensation for victims of Hepatitis-C to those infected prior to 1986. This is a black day in our history which will not soon be forgotten
