Trap

her poetry may not be as good

as the world tries to think it is

but I can say nothing

but even if I could, I couldn't

for she is a woman

and I am not

but even if I could, I couldn't

for she is of colour

and I am not

but even if I could, I couldn’t

for she is a young person

and I am not

but even if I could, I couldn't

for she is a laureate

and I am not
