we on-dwell a spinning ball in space

speeding elliptic about its star

surrounded by rock and gas and dust

racing just as quick or more

all afloat upon nothing more than

nothing, emptiness the field we roam

yet light and wonder it all pervades

gloried distant suns beckon onward

fleeting flame and dusty nebulae call

join their voice to the silent chorus

so strongly calls our hope
