What’s it’s Like

(kind of)

that wonderful, funny man

in his delightfully funny sketch

of siamese elephants

mourned how

joined at their trunks

wanting desperately to trumpet

could only say

“Fnorgn!”

their triumphant bellows

stifled

it feels like that

sometimes

when I want

so desperately want

to talk about my pain

only to find myself

surrounded by stone walls

with no window, crack or door

still and yet again
