What Kind of Witness

I’ve been watching your words for the past two years

or more

(there was some doubtful stuff before COVID too

I’ve not just been careful with you since the pandemic started)

every day a new argument

every day a new complaint

against mandates forcing you to wear masks

against guidelines suggesting social distancing

against governments imposing their will on us

against any who don’t see things as you see things

for two whole years I’ve seen little more than anger

and it’s given me cause to wonder

what do the unsaved see when they see you

whom God has saved

constantly complaining against these things

most will agree are best intentions to keep us alive

your angry words have made me wonder

what kind of witness do you have

who professes to follow the God of love

how do you give His love its hands

if all you ever do is rant

how do you help anyone see Him
