You Wonder?

you say you wonder how I am

but I’m not certain you do

you rarely ask how I’m doing

or talk, to see where I’m at

and when you do, and I say,

the depth of your concern

seems more thin than paper

less substantial than cobwebs

I am overwhelmed by the trivial

why should it be any wonder

if and when you ask about me

my answer is short and simple

could yesterday support more?
