I’d been trying to think of who it was who took me here

places like this are so ‘different’ from the places I like

I couldn’t see this place as a place where I’d willingly go

as a place I’d go without some other one’s goad or coax

yet when I study the steps, I see that I was already here

Yesterday was not a particularly good day, I was too grumpy and curmudgeon-like

for no obviously apparent reason, and I began to wonder “Who'd done what?” to

me. (Even though the constant depression has been lifted from me, I do have the

occasional not so good day.) This morning, waking up bright-eyed and smiling on a

glorious autumn day, I understood that the cause wasn’t a “who” but an “I”.
