Crosses

we find crosses in the oddest places

we find them on cells, on donkeys

we find them in wreckage, in forests

we find them by dreaming, by tweaking

we find them where we hope them

we point at them and we cry

"See! These  are your signs!"

as if creation were not sign enough

as if Truth could stand on fabrication

as if the cross were more than the Man
