Freedom!

Lost

All of us like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way;

this pit, it is too deep

it is unescapable

this chain, it is too tight

it is unyielding

this dark, it is too cold

it is unendurable

Who will set me free from the body of this death?

this pain, oh! this horrid pain

its gloom so unrelenting

its hopelessness too dreadful

to bear

Found

But the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him.

this Light, it is so pure

it is overwhelming

this Fount, it is so clean

it is overcoming

this Life, it is so great

it is overflowing

Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord!

this joy, oh! this glorious joy

my life, wholly renewed

my stain, so far removed

from me

I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.
