I. Don’t. Care.
if you’re black or brown or blue or white I don’t care
if you’re woman or man or parent or child I don’t care
if you’re poor or rich or gaining or losing I don’t care
I don’t care about anything but that you did this thing not that you’re the first “so-and-such” to have done it but that you a person did it
and more that you are the person who did it
I am so fed up with hearing people say “They are the first so-and-such to have done this thing, let’s give them praise.” We should give them praise, by all means, not because they’re the first so-and-such to have done that thing, but because they’re a person who has done a great thing.
