I realized Lord

that the battle would be a hard

throat clutching

fist raising

confrontation

I accepted that

life is, after all,

unfair

we all suffer the consequences

of an other’s fall

but Lord

I’d never even thought

until now

it would be eternal

help me

I continually fall
