Ivanhoe, Saturday Afternoon, 1999

Saturday afternoon

six in forty seven

listening to an angelic voice

remembering chains

released by one far greater

than the friends gathered

on a quiet, well earned break

from the labours of their loves

heat forgotten

in the heat of heavens love

discussions free and wild

roaming unhindered

as afternoon winds down

into evening

with their redeemer

going home
