it’s not so much that I don’t like movie adaptations

it’s the movie adaptations unfaithful to their source

those are the movie adaptations that I don’t care for

in my opinion, if the source is good enough to adapt

it is too good to be more than insignificantly altered

and so, I rarely enjoy movie adaptations

consider the importance of a detective and the Saviour

one may be, if unlikely, a greater creator than Christie

one cannot be, in any way a greater creator than God

disrespect for Poirot, Marple or Beresford is therefore

a lesser sin than our disrespect for the Christ of God

and so, at times I enjoy movie adaptations
