On Bill C-9

do I care about Bill C-9?

no

no more than I care about anything that would disturb my comfort

do I worry about Bill C-9

also no

all things are in God’s great hand and I trust Him more than I fear man

Bill C-9, currently making its way through the Canadian Parliament, is intended

to target hate crime. Which is all well and good, but it does so in such a way as to

also define as hate crime teachings from religious texts (and other sources) that

directly speak in opposition to what those texts define as sinful behaviour.

Do I care? No, not really, except that it could disturb my comfort.

Do I worry? No, not really, for God has everything under control,

and I am His!

A few days prior to writing the poem, our senior pastor

preached a sermon on Daniel 6 (Daniel in the lion's den).

It is an excellent message, and the best I've heard on

how a Christian should live in an a world increasingly

in opposition to the gospel.
