January 1988
the sun rises this morning gloriously as it always has before a silent trumpet’s blast proclaiming the majesty of God
yet a Christian I flee this awesome sound twice
driving to T.O. to see a friend’s son baptized and celebrate the covenant of love
closing a door to God not allowing Him free reign in the tender/callous shell of me
I too trumpet His praise less faithfully than His sun the faithfulness of His Son allows me too to shine as pure and celebrate again His covenant of love
