this world by sadness shroud wrings tears from every joy pain the uncared for guest of every celebration life begins while knowing death however far its horrid end the joy of each day’s step mingles deep, abiding grief
would that recompense would come
NOW!
while love still weeps its loss
dear God assuage our tears and within Your peace enfold us
Written after hearing of the murder of Tim Bosma; family man, Christian, for whom we had been praying all week.
Bruce Cockburn’s rocket launcher is far too small for such a sadness.
Thank God His justice is far more satisfying.
